1) First and foremost, play nice. Nobody likes a cranky pants so please be respectful of your fellow members. We're all different, we all have different opinions so respect others opinions. When you have a different opinion than someone in a thread, don't start a fight over it and don't personally attack someone. Pretty easy to do.
2) No "kewl" talk or DiStOrTeD TeXt or Capitalizing The First Letter Of Every Word In a Sentence. They're both annoying and both distracting.
3) NO SPAMMING. SPAM = stupid, pointless, annoying messages with an emphasis on annoying.
4) Threads located in the wrong forum will be closed or moved to the appropriate forum, depending on topic. Also, please be sure to check to see if a thread you have started is already in discussion. Duplicate threads will be merged. Make sure your thread titles are clear as well that way this doesn't happen in error.
5) Don't steal my graphics and don't hotlink to graphics on my board. You wanna use something, PM me or contact me via the Feedback Form. We'll work something out.
6) Usernames are only changed by admins in an instance of a typo. If you hate your username, buy a new one in the store. Also, inappropriate usernames are subject to change without the option of keeping it.
7) Multiple Registrations are not allowed, don't do it. If you do, PM a mod so we can delete it.
8) Slander, bashing, or flaming is not allowed. Any such thread or posts will be removed without question, so don't PM afterwards
9) Don't hotlink to images on other sites -- that's stealing bandwidth from someone else, and not cool. If you wanna use a graphic, upload it to your own image hosting site or ask a friend to.
10) If you're linking to your board here, link to my board there. I scratch your back, you scratch mine type deal.
11) No cussing. The main words are censored, but if you find a way around it don't cuss AT someone please.
12) Nothing political or religious on the boards. Period. There are way too many opposing viewpoints in these areas so it's not allowed. The only exceptions to this are religious holidays such as Kwanzaa, Easter, Haunukkah, Ramadan, etc. You can have banners about it or say Merry Christmas and all that jazz but I don't need you posting the story of Jesus' birth, comprende? We all have our own religions and all believe what we want to believe -- don't force your religious opinions on others. Same goes for politics. I don't care if you like the president and neither does anyone else, so don't bother telling anyone because it will be deleted.
13) I would appreciate it if you didn't advertise your Degrassi Board here. Why? I wouldn't do it at your site, don't do it at mine. Also, don't just register to pimp out your site. That's lame.
14) No posting personal information. This means no posting your phone number, home address, cell phone number etc. I'd prefer to keep y'all as safe as possible while on this board. What you do off the board is your business, but while you're here, follow this rule. I encourage you to keep this rule with anywhere on the internet. If ever there are questions about this rule, please feel free to contact me or another moderator.
15) Last but not least, have fun! This board was made for Degrassi fans by Degrassi fans! It's only as fun as you make it, so enjoy! | |
